We are now accepting applications for our **2026 Graduate GIS Consultant Programme**. Working with the latest Esri technology, you will gain an understanding of how customers across a range of sectors use ArcGIS, and you will use your skills to help them be even more successful.
**Overview:**
When joining our 2-year graduate programme, you will experience key areas of the business, working alongside specialists, developing skills and knowledge, and sharing in our success. You will work through rotations in different departments, including:
- Sales Support
- Technical Support
- Marketing
- Professional Services
- Technical Pre-Sales, Customer Care, and Content Curation
- Lifelong Learning
Working with the latest Esri technology, you will understand how customers are using the ArcGIS Platform and develop the skills to help them be even more successful. You will interact with a wide variety of organisations across industries including environment, government, public safety, utilities, telecoms, retail, and education.
At the end of the 2-year programme, Esri Ireland will work with you to balance business requirements with your desired career aspirations to find a suitable role within the company. The company will look at how your skills and approach best fit within the business and explore opportunities for your continued success at Esri Ireland.
**Responsibilities:**
- Participate in a structured 2-year graduate programme with rotations across key departments:
- Sales Support
- Technical Support
- Marketing
- Professional Services
- Technical Pre-Sales, Customer Care, and Content Curation
- Lifelong Learning
- Work alongside specialists to develop skills and knowledge while contributing to business success.
- Learn how customers across multiple sectors use ArcGIS and the ArcGIS Platform.
- Support customers and help them become more successful using Esri technology.
- Engage with organisations across sectors such as environment, government, public safety, utilities, telecoms, retail, and education.
- Travel to the Holywood office in Northern Ireland for periods of time during the programme, as required.
- Contribute in a fast-moving, dynamic environment as part of a technical team.
**Requirements:**
- Available to start in September 2026.
- Willing to travel to the Holywood office in Northern Ireland for periods of time during the 2-year programme.
- Eligible to work in the UK and/or the Republic of Ireland (no sponsorship available).
- Able to work full-time in the UK and/or the Republic of Ireland and pass a basic security clearance.
- Knowledge of, and ability to use, the ArcGIS Platform.
- Awareness of trends in the wider IT industry, with an understanding of how they relate to GIS and Esri Ireland.
- Commercial understanding of the impact of technology, with a vision for how GIS can enhance the effectiveness of an organisation.
- Effective and flexible time management, with the ability to prioritise workload and deliver to deadlines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think outside the box and confidently suggest better ways of working.
- Willingness to work as part of a technical team of like-minded people in a fast-moving and dynamic environment.
- Ability to take initiative on tasks in a work environment.
**What we ideally look for in a graduate application:**
- Holding, or predicted to achieve, at least a 2:1 in a relevant degree subject in GIS, Geography, IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar.
- Genuine interest in developing a career within GIS.
- Excellent communicator with good presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability with skills to analyse data and situations.
- A good, tailored cover letter and an obvious passion to join Esri Ireland.
- Ability to work in or relocate to the required location for the position applied for.
**Beneficial but not essential:**
- Knowledge of JavaScript or Python.
- Holder of a clean and valid driving license.
- A Master's in GIS or a relevant degree.
**Qualifications:**
- Must hold (or be predicted to achieve) at least a 2:1 in a relevant degree subject:
- GIS
- Geography
- IT (including Computer Science and Software Engineering)
from a Third Level Educational Institute.
- A Master's in GIS or a relevant degree may be beneficial, but is not essential.
