GIS Analyst - DC/MD/VA

**Role Summary**
- Jamison Professional Services, Inc. (“Jamison”) is seeking a qualified and motivated candidate for the position of **GIS Analyst**.
- The work supports WMATA as it undergoes a multi-year Strategic Transformation to deliver safer, more reliable, and customer-focused transit across the Washington DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia region.
- WMATA’s transformation is guided by the “Your Metro, The Way Forward” Strategic Transformation Plan and includes alignment of operations, technology, organizational structure, and capital investments to improve efficiency and strengthen regional mobility.
- The initiative addresses changes in ridership patterns, rising customer expectations, new transportation competitors, and budget challenges intensified by the Covid-19 pandemic, with goals including modernization, cross-department collaboration, long-term sustainability, and trusted service.

**Responsibilities**
- Create, maintain, display, and update GIS databases
- Produce maps and other representations of data for public use
- Ensure data accuracy, including performing field work to resolve data conflicts

**Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Urban Planning, or a related field
- Entry level profile
- Experience (entry level) in:
- Data analysis
- ESRI ArcGIS
- Microsoft (tools/platforms)

**Work Location**
- Washington, DC / Alexandria, VA / Silver Spring, MD

**Schedule**
- Standard hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Includes one (1) hour unpaid lunch break
- COTR may request temporary services in excess of:
- Seven and one half (7.5) hours per day, or
- Thirty-seven and one half (37.5) hours per week
- Temporary personnel working six (6) hours or more must take one-half hour unpaid lunch break
- Overtime:
- Hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours in one week are considered overtime
- All overtime must be approved by the COTR in advance

**Clearance**
- Employment is contingent upon successfully completing any required background checks, in accordance with applicable law
