**About the Role:**

The GIS Analyst will collect, import, update, validate, analyze, and visualize geographic data from multiple sources including property records, utility plans, aerial imagery, and field surveys. The role also includes maintaining GIS databases, creating web maps and dashboards, supporting city staff, and coordinating GIS standards with other governmental entities.

**Responsibilities:**

- Collect, import, and update geographic data from property records, utility plans, aerial imagery, and field surveys.
- Perform quality control checks and data validation to maintain data accuracy and consistency.
- Maintain GIS databases including both spatial and attribute data.
- Develop and implement data standards and metadata protocols.
- Conduct spatial analysis to identify patterns, trends, and geographic relationships.
- Perform buffering, overlay, proximity, and network analysis.
- Generate reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
- Create thematic maps, base maps, interactive web maps, and map layouts.
- Produce digital and printed maps for public and internal use.
- Develop and maintain web-based GIS applications and dashboards.
- Integrate GIS data with departmental systems.
- Provide training and technical support to government staff.
- Troubleshoot GIS issues and respond to user questions.
- Participate in project planning, reporting, and GIS solution implementation.
- Collaborate with departments and external government entities on data compatibility and standards.
- Respond professionally to requests from city staff, residents, agencies, and organizations.
- Perform occasional evening or weekend work when needed.

**Requirements:**

- Bachelor''s degree in GIS or a closely related field.
- Minimum 3 years of related GIS experience.
- Valid driver''s license required.
- GISP certification is desirable.
- Must pass criminal background and CJIS-related requirements.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, regulations, plats, and engineering plans.
- Ability to write reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to present information clearly to staff, managers, committees, and the public.
- Practical math and real-world problem-solving ability.
- Proficiency with ESRI desktop and enterprise tools.
- Proficiency with general office software such as word processing and spreadsheets.

**Additional Information:**

- Salary: $27.28 - $40.76 per hour.
- Full-time, 40+ hours per week.
- Eligible for full City benefits and paid leave.
