GIS Analyst

Roadway Management Services LLC is hiring a GIS Analyst for a fully remote role focused on roadway asset data processing and analysis across the United States.

**About the Role:**

The GIS Analyst will work with large-scale sensor and imagery datasets collected from roadway systems. The role involves data extraction, processing, quality control, and spatial analysis to support pavement management and roadway condition assessment.

**Responsibilities:**

- Extract, process, and analyze large volumes of spatial and sensor data.
- Perform QA/QC checks to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Create and edit spatial datasets using QGIS and ArcGIS Pro.
- Coordinate with technical teams to transform raw vehicle-collected data into usable datasets.
- Identify missing, corrupt, or anomalous data and report discrepancies.
- Work with tools such as ICC Connect and Microsoft Azure.
- Process and evaluate right-of-way (ROW) data from collection workflows.
- Collaborate with GIS specialists for efficient data handoff and processing.
- Perform quality control checks on extracted data and assets.
- Review client GIS data for accuracy and support operational costing.
- Prepare imagery and datasets for videologger integration.
- Assist in developing data dictionaries and documentation.
- Operate roadway asset collection vehicles when required.
- Perform additional assigned tasks as needed.

**Requirements:**

- Bachelor''s degree or higher in a technical field (preferred).
- Experience with GIS software (QGIS, ArcGIS Pro).
- Strong understanding of spatial analysis and data processing.
- Experience with QA/QC, data validation, and monitoring workflows.
- Familiarity with Azure or similar cloud platforms.
- Ability to handle large datasets and perform data cleaning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

**Additional Information:**

- Salary: $50,000 – $65,000 per year.
- Work mode: Fully Remote.
- Level: Mid-level.
