**Position Description**

**Responsibilities**
**Geospatial Duties**
- Ensure upkeep and updates to all GIS, project geodatabase, and spatial data compilations, and ensure timely delivery to relevant team members and stakeholders
- Steer improvements and provide technical support across all aspects of exploration data management
- Interrogate datasets, critically evaluate and optimize data usability and workflows, identify issues and risks, recommend solutions, and guide teams through implementation
- Keep up to date with relevant industry and technological developments; research and recommend improvements and new ways of working with a focus on simple, fit-for-purpose solutions
- Deliver maps and data visualizations as required
- Coordinate and ensure geological data is entered accurately and on time, and regularly validate the database in a frontend (DataShed4) or SQL environment
- Regularly check for missing information, pass it to concerned geologists, and follow up to ensure all captured data is present and accounted for
- Handle and ensure sample submission to internal and external labs; perform daily checks of quality of analysis of results received; request re-assays whenever required
- Investigate issues, report them to the line supervisor, and take corrective actions if QC samples don’t pass company standards
- Provide general support across the core shed team and exploration teams in terms of QAQC control
- Adhere to drilling and sampling operational procedures and ensure team adherence
**Data Management Duties**

**Requirements**
**Qualification Requirements**
- Degree in Geology, GIS, data management, or a mining-related field
- Physically fit and capable of working in hot and remote environments
**Experience and Skills Requirements**
- Two years of geospatial data or exploration database management experience
- GIS tools: ArcGIS Pro, Survey123, other ESRI products, and/or QGIS
- GIS data management, geodatabase development, and administration
- Exploration and mining data management and QAQC reporting
- Database development and administration
- Data troubleshooting, manipulation, automation, and interrogation
- Strong attention to detail
- Clear and efficient communication (written and verbal)
- Well organized with excellent time and task management
