**Role: GIS Developer — 1099 Contract (\$30–\$40/hr) | Falls Church, VA (Remote within CONUS possible)**

Design, automate, and maintain **enterprise GIS** apps & workflows. Integrate data from APIs/open sources, build custom web apps and
dashboards, and streamline **ArcGIS Enterprise** processes. Collaborate with GIS analysts/content specialists/devs; provide support,
training, docs, and knowledge transfer.

**Core Duties**
- Build & maintain customized GIS apps/scripts/tools; automate repetitive processes.
- Collect/integrate/manage geo & non-geo data from APIs/open data sources.
- Automate updates & ETL in ArcGIS Enterprise (Notebook Server, Python).
- Design/publish/maintain web maps, dashboards, reporting tools.
- Provide technical support; troubleshoot & optimize applications.
- Research/evaluate open-source tools/APIs to extend enterprise GIS.

**Required**
- ArcGIS Enterprise **or** ArcGIS Online (publishing/management/admin).
- Python (arcpy, arcgis, requests, pandas, selenium); workflow automation.
- API/open-data integration; spatial DBs (PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server, etc.).
- GitHub/version control; Bachelor’s in GIS/CS/Geography or equivalent.
- Strong communication & documentation skills.

**Nice to have**
- AWS/Azure; Docker/Kubernetes.
- QGIS, Leaflet, Overpass Turbo, osmium, OpenLayers.
- UI/UX fundamentals; JavaScript for custom web mapping; Esri certs.

- 1099 independent contractor; initial 6-month contract, potential extension; no employee benefits.
