**Role Summary**
- AECOM is seeking a GIS Engineer to join its Transportation business line in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
- The role works under general direction and contributes independently to GIS database design, geodatabase development, mapping, and spatial analysis activities.
- The GIS Engineer supports internal teams and client deliverables by applying GIS technologies across transportation and infrastructure projects.
**Responsibilities**
- Program and apply a broad range of GIS database and spreadsheet software for GIS design, mapping, and analysis
- Independently contribute to the design of databases, development of geodatabases, and GIS systems
- Compile, manage, and analyze GIS data to support engineering and planning workflows
- Evaluate commercial GIS applications where required
- Design and develop GIS applications for internal use and client deliverables
- Perform most assignments independently with guidance provided on expected outcomes
- Receive technical guidance on unusual or complex issues and obtain supervisory approval on proposed project plans
**Qualifications**
- Relevant background in GIS, engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Experience working with GIS databases, geodatabases, and spatial analysis tools
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
