**Estimated Base Salary Range:** USD 108,160 – 180,960

**Overview:**
This role is responsible for developing and overseeing the execution of global go-to-market strategies to drive growth in new and existing markets within the transportation domain, with a specific focus on roads and highways. The objective is to drive awareness and demand in target markets by positioning Esri GIS technology as uniquely suited to address existing and emerging industry challenges and opportunities.

You will collaborate closely with teams across business development, corporate marketing, professional services, solutions, and software development to align transportation industry trends with Esri technology and shape current and future market demand.

**Responsibilities:**
- Represent Esri as the subject matter expert in the roads and highways market, with knowledge across all phases of the highway infrastructure lifecycle.
- Forecast and evaluate industry trends using diverse data sources and proactively develop solutions and messaging to address key business issues, drivers, and growth opportunities.
- Develop, manage, and execute comprehensive industry marketing strategies and programs (short- and long-term) to support the GIS user community and expand GIS adoption in the transportation industry.
- Share competitive intelligence and customer requirements with Business Development teams to improve effectiveness.
- Research, analyze, and monitor financial, technological, and market factors within the transportation industry to identify service and market opportunities.
- Investigate, understand, and develop new business opportunities in underserved or emerging areas of the roads and highways market.
- Develop and recommend product and industry positioning, marketing collateral, and pricing strategies to support sales and revenue objectives.
- Work with Product Development teams as a customer advocate, providing industry feedback based on direct engagement with transportation customers.
- Collaborate closely with sales staff, international division regional managers, and Esri international distributors to provide domain expertise, contacts, guidance, and support.
- Work with the Esri business partner group to recruit, develop, and maintain partner channels to ensure solution delivery to transportation sectors.
- Represent and manage Esri’s presence at roads and highways industry conferences, associations, trade shows, seminars, and events domestically and internationally.
- Build and maintain a strong GIS user community through printed collateral, e-newsletters, online forums, user groups, and networking initiatives.
- Advocate the use of GIS technology with transportation-related trade associations (such as AASHTO, TRB), standards organizations, and the media.

**Requirements:**
- Minimum of 8 years of demonstrated leadership and hands-on experience in a transportation discipline focused on roads and highways.
- Strong GIS experience related to transportation, including combinations of:
- Multimodal transportation planning and modeling
- Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
- Road safety management systems
- Transportation asset management
- Environmental management
- Transportation equity
- Proven ability to motivate, inspire, and achieve strategic goals.
- In-depth knowledge of workflows, challenges, and opportunities for improvement using GIS in the roads and highways domain.
- Experience leading industry strategy, business development, and marketing programs, including:
- Creating and managing influence plans
- Monitoring and reporting results
- Coordinating integrated execution teams
- Managing budgets
- Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Geography, or Public/Business Administration.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

**Recommended Qualifications:**
- General knowledge of spatial analysis and its application to problem solving.
- Results-oriented mindset with the ability to define realistic, time-driven goals with clear lead indicators.
- Demonstrated excellence in written communication and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of marketing purpose, strategy, and tactics.
- Master’s degree in Planning, Geography, or Public/Business Administration.
