The **County of San Juan, NM** is hiring a **GIS Manager** to oversee the full lifecycle of the County's enterprise GIS program, including ArcGIS Enterprise architecture, multi-user editing environments, spatial data security, and public-facing map services.

**Core Responsibilities:**
- Manage the County's ArcGIS Enterprise implementation and multi-user database workflows.
- Guide GIS staff and promote adoption of GIS tools across departments.
- Coordinate GIS services countywide; evaluate user needs and implement solutions.
- Ensure spatial data integrity, security, normalization, and repository design.
- Design and maintain County’s data architecture, warehouse, and GIS website.
- Develop Native ArcGIS apps for Android/iOS, and ensure WCAG 2.0 AA web compliance.
- Handle budgeting, procurement, and software/hardware research.
- Represent the County in public forums and professional meetings.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, GIS, Surveying, Geography, or related field.
- 4+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education/experience).
- Training in Esri software and GPS.
- Valid NM Driver’s License (or ability to obtain in 6 months).
- Must pass comprehensive background check.
**Work Conditions:**
- Primarily office-based, with occasional fieldwork in rugged terrain and weather.
- Must lift, bend, retrieve files, and operate vehicles as needed.
- On-call status required; availability on holidays or weekends possible.
- Must sign Non-Disclosure Agreement and operate within County ERP system.
**Bonus Skills:**
- Experience in data warehouse design, native app development, or ADA web compliance.
- Strong team leadership, communication, and project management ability.
