**Role Summary**
- This opportunity is for a talented **Senior GIS Specialist / Project Lead** to join the award-winning team based in Abu Dhabi.
- The position is responsible for accomplishing complex analytic, data development, data manipulation, and data validation work related to geo-spatial platforms and the manipulation and interpretation of geospatial data.
- KEO seeks a highly experienced Senior GIS Specialist / Project Lead to manage and deliver geospatial projects across multiple sectors, including infrastructure, planning, and environmental development.
- The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage GIS teams and coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams and external stakeholders.
**Responsibilities**
- Manage the integration of multidisciplinary spatial data to ensure consistency, accuracy, and interoperability across platforms
- Design, maintain, and optimize enterprise geodatabases and geospatial data models to support project workflows and business needs
- Design and manage 2D and 3D geodatabases to support spatial data storage, analysis, and visualization
- Work with raster and vector datasets, including processing, analysis, and integration into GIS workflows
- Develop logical and physical data models (LDM and PDM), domains, and schema documentation tailored to project disciplines
- Perform advanced spatial analysis, geoprocessing, and topology validation using ArcGIS Pro and other GIS tools
- Perform data conversion, transformation, and cleaning to ensure spatial data is accurate, consistent, and aligned with project standards
- Use AutoCAD / Civil 3D for GIS/CAD integration, including data cleaning, extraction, conversion, and alignment with geospatial standards
- Collect, process, and manage spatial and non-spatial data from diverse sources including CAD, GPS, BIM, satellite imagery, and survey data
- Prepare and submit GIS data packages, including quality checks, metadata creation, and format compliance
- Validate spatial data for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project standards and coordinate systems
- Collaborate with project teams to organize, review, and finalize GIS deliverables
- Review GIS outputs before formal submission to ensure technical accuracy and completeness
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for GIS tools, data issues, and system integrations
- Act as the primary liaison for GIS-related communication with clients, consultants, and internal teams
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and resource allocations specific to GIS deliverables
- Develop and implement GIS standards, workflows, and policies, and support the creation of strategic plans and documentation aligned with GIS best practices
- Coordinate and review GIS data submissions to ensure alignment with project requirements and deadlines
- Create, prepare, and maintain critical geo-spatial databases for client projects, including the development of complex geo-fencing boundaries with direct implications to reliability and accuracy of client deliverables, geocode validation, spatial data placement, and dependent model variable data validation with client
- Develop advanced specialized maps utilizing geographic and demographic information using programming, database, and graphic skills
- Extract demographic information from various databases for use in maps or reports
- Perform quality assurance on all products or services being developed for projects and clients to ensure the product meets specified requirements
- Interface with studio colleagues and clients as the primary database support resource and provide support as needed to support the project
- Support clients and internal resources in map development, geocoding, database development, database manipulation, and database design

**Requirements**
- Experience: 8–12 years of progressive GIS experience, including 1+ years in a project lead capacity
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in GIS, Geomatics, Geography, Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field
- Advanced proficiency required in ESRI ArcMap, MapInfo, or other GIS-related technologies
- Skilled in preparing GIS documentation, metadata, workflows, and GIS submission guidelines
- Proficiency in applications including:
- ArcGIS Pro
- ArcGIS Data Reviewer
- ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal, Server, Data Store)
- ArcGIS Online (AGOL)
- ArcGIS Dashboards
- Experience Builder
- Survey123 or Field Maps
- FME Workbench
- Python for ArcPy and geoprocessing automation
- Ability to manage GIS teams and coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes
