Airosmith Development is hiring a GIS Specialist I to join its Broadband Services production team. This full-time remote role supports internal and external projects related to permitting, site acquisition, and broadband development through GIS data compilation, aggregation, and project information output.
**About the Role:**
The GIS Specialist I will support production work by managing project data, learning internal workflows, and helping generate GIS-based outputs for broadband-related projects. This is an entry-level to junior GIS role suited for candidates with foundational GIS experience and strong attention to detail.
**Responsibilities:**
- Compile, aggregate, and manage project-related GIS and non-GIS data.
- Develop outputs of plans, data, and project information for internal and external use.
- Learn and use software, tools, and equipment related to GIS production work.
- Read, interpret, and understand multiple data sources.
- Maintain timely and accurate project data within internal project management systems.
- Gain independence on project tasks while following internal workflow standards.
- Communicate with team leaders and team members regarding project status and priorities.
- Learn and support client administrative processes.
- Contribute to permitting, site acquisition, and broadband development workflows.
**Requirements:**
- Strong MS 365 Office skills, especially Microsoft Excel and internet-based tools.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in an office or remote environment.
- Ability to complete repetitive computer-based work successfully.
- High school diploma or GED minimum.
- Associate degree preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of GIS experience.
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online (AGOL), or QGIS.
