**About the Role:**
The GIS Technician will report to the Senior GIS Analyst and support the review of information from designers and contractors, maintain and improve GIS workflows, provide new applications, support users, and help deliver high-quality spatial data services aligned with airport standards and digital goals.
**Responsibilities:**
- Ensure the accuracy and consistency of GIS data by reviewing and validating submitted spatial information.
- Assist with mapping priority assets and developing reusable GIS applications.
- Support the Senior GIS Analyst in improving GIS systems, tools, and workflows.
- Maintain and update GIS databases and related processes.
- Provide technical support and training to GIS users.
- Support administration and rollout of the ESRI Enterprise portal.
- Coordinate GIS integration with internal systems and external partners.
- Monitor compliance with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Validate submitted information using surveys and available spatial datasets.
- Assist in GIS project delivery, documentation, mapping, and reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve GIS processes, workflows, and user experience.
**Requirements:**
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar GIS role.
- Qualifications in GIS, Geography, Geoinformatics, or a related field.
- Strong ESRI GIS technical skills, including ArcGIS Pro and related applications.
- Programming knowledge such as Python.
- Basic understanding of database systems such as SQL, MongoDB, and Oracle.
- Knowledge of surveying methods, data acquisition, validation, QA, and QC.
- Ability to deliver GIS training and support users.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work professionally and independently, including influencing senior management.
- Familiarity with innovative cloud collaboration platforms.
- FME Web and FME Server experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Autodesk tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D is desirable.
- Familiarity with EASA Aerodrome Mapping Database standards is an advantage.
