- The role focuses on GIS database updates, geoprocessing, geospatial analysis, automation scripting, cartographic map production, and supporting business GIS service requests.

**Responsibilities**
- Perform corporate GIS database edits after completing required transformation, processing, and quality assurance of data received from multiple sources
- Study engineering records and extract, transform, and prepare geospatial data needed to update the corporate GIS database
- Create and modify geodatabases based on design / UML diagrams prepared by senior GIS engineers
- Develop scripts to automate geoprocessing tasks
- Perform geoprocessing, data format conversions, coordinate system conversions, and analysis including:
- Spatial analysis
- Network analysis
- 3D analysis
- Geostatistical analysis
to support facility location decisions, fulfil GIS service requests, and meet other technical requirements
- Create 3D models of terrain and geographic features and prepare fly-throughs to enable 3D visualization
- Produce cartographic-quality maps and charts required across the corporation
- Carry out topological and quality checks of GIS data to support QA of corporate GIS and to evaluate contractor deliverables
- Perform field data collection and/or site verification to collect/verify data required for corporate GIS updates
- Act as GIS helpdesk by processing GIS access and service requests and providing end-user support via phone calls, meetings, or office visits to troubleshoot technical issues under senior GIS engineer guidance
- Assist senior GIS engineers with image processing using specialized software to enhance visual quality of ortho-rectified aerial and satellite imagery

**Requirements**
- Qualification:
- Diploma (3 years after high school) in Engineering, GIS, Geomatics, Computer Science, or IT
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience performing GIS data updates, geoprocessing, geospatial analysis, and preparing maps and charts using the ESRI GIS platform
- Oil & gas industry experience is highly desirable
- Highly desirable working knowledge:
- Scripting: Python, Java, ArcPy, ArcGIS ModelBuilder, ArcGIS SDK for JavaScript
- Processing data captured from drones, multi-stations (MS60), and LiDAR
- Software: FME and Fledermaus
- Tools: MS Office (Excel, MS Access, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), Photoshop, image processing, and AutoCAD
