GIS Technician – Level 2

KBS Solutions LLC is hiring a **GIS Technician – Level 2** for a long-term **3-year contract** role based in **Atlanta, GA**. The position offers a hybrid schedule (4 days onsite, 1 day remote) and focuses on spatial data processing, analysis, automation, and quality control in utility and pipeline GIS environments.

**Pay:** \$23.00 – \$24.00 per hour (W2)
**Location:** 10 Peachtree Place NE, Atlanta, GA 30309
**Work Schedule:** Hybrid (Mon–Thu onsite, Fri remote)

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Perform GIS data analysis, mining, and integration to support utility/pipeline projects.
- Create and maintain automated scripts using **ModelBuilder** and **Python**.
- Conduct spatial data conversion, version management, and QA/QC before production deployment.
- Utilize **linear referencing** techniques and spatial modeling to enhance workflows.
- Generate reports, maps, and queries based on customer requirements.
- Analyze current GIS processes and recommend improvements.
- Perform application testing and defect documentation.
- Support Esri platform users and maintain documentation.

**Requirements:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 2–4 years of GIS experience or a GIS certificate with equivalent experience.
- Proficient in **ArcGIS Pro**, **ArcGIS 10.2x**, and **ArcGIS Enterprise**.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Familiarity with **AutoCAD Map 3D**, pipeline GIS, and utility data structures.
