The HALO Trust is hiring an Information Management and GIS Officer to support humanitarian mine action operations related to Gaza. The role is based in Jordan with frequent travel (up to 50%) to Gaza.

**About the Role:**

The IM and GIS Officer is responsible for designing, managing, and analyzing operational and mapping data to support humanitarian demining operations. The role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate data collection, processing, analysis, and dissemination across operations.

**Responsibilities:**

- Maintain internal information management systems for accurate data collection and storage.
- Manage data related to EHA and EOD operations from call-out to final disposal.
- Supervise and support data collection staff and IM assistants.
- Produce maps, GIS products, and geospatial datasets.
- Manage data within HALO’s Global Operations Information Management System (GO-IMS).
- Establish data flows across internal systems and UNMAS platforms with QA/QC controls.
- Design and implement mobile data collection forms and workflows.
- Develop and maintain program databases and datasets.
- Conduct training sessions for staff on data collection tools and workflows.
- Produce maps, infographics, and visualizations for reports and presentations.
- Use GIS and open-source data to analyze mine and explosive threats.
- Maintain prioritization models to identify high-risk areas for operations.
- Support reporting, donor communication, and external publications.

**Requirements:**

- Strong experience in GIS, Information Management, or related field.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS and Google Earth.
- Experience with database design and data management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with mobile data collection tools and workflows.
- Ability to design data flows and ensure data quality (QA/QC).
- Strong communication and training skills.
- Experience in humanitarian or conflict environments is a strong advantage.

**Additional Information:**

- Location: Jordan with up to 50% travel to Gaza.
- Contract Duration: Initial 6 months (renewable).
- Reporting to: Operations Manager.
