Spokane County is seeking an IT GIS Analyst 1 to support GIS applications, spatial data analysis, and system development for county operations. This is a hybrid full-time position offering competitive compensation and benefits.
**Job Responsibilities:**
- Analyze departmental GIS needs and translate into cost-effective solutions.
- Perform spatial data conversions, editing, analysis, and mapping tasks.
- Design GIS applications, define data models, and enforce QA/QC standards.
- Conduct geo-processing, data versioning, archiving, and spatial DB maintenance.
- Create automated workflow models and map production scripts.
- Support web mapping tools, dashboards, and interactive viewers.
- Develop and maintain documentation, metadata, training guides, and procedures.
- Train internal users and promote GIS tool adoption across departments.
- Handle interpretation of aerial/satellite imagery, legal maps, and remote sensing data.
**Required Skills:**
- Strong background in GIS, cartography, spatial data modeling.
- Experience with object-oriented programming, relational databases, and scripting.
- Proficient in GIS tools, math models, and data visualization.
- Skilled in system analysis, project delivery, and QA processes.
- Capable of learning new GIS platforms and technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.

**Salary Range:** $59,650 – $106,354 per year
