Spatial Data Analyst - AI Trainer

Handshake is hiring a Spatial Data Analyst - AI Trainer for a flexible, remote contract role. This position focuses on supporting AI research by evaluating and improving AI-generated GIS-related content.

**About the Role:**

This is a project-based opportunity designed for experienced GIS professionals who want flexible, part-time work. The role involves reviewing AI-generated outputs, creating GIS-related questions, and ensuring that spatial data workflows and concepts are accurately represented.

**Responsibilities:**

- Review AI-generated GIS content for accuracy, relevance, and quality.
- Create GIS-related questions and tasks based on real-world workflows.
- Evaluate spatial datasets, maps, and geospatial outputs.
- Provide feedback to improve AI understanding of GIS concepts and workflows.
- Work independently following provided guidelines and instructions.
- Contribute to ongoing AI training and evaluation projects.

**Requirements:**

- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with QGIS or similar GIS tools.
- Strong understanding of GIS concepts, spatial analysis, and geospatial workflows.
- Experience with remote sensing, environmental mapping, or urban planning data.
- Ability to review and validate spatial data and mapping outputs.
- Strong written communication and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup.

**Additional Information:**

- Job Type: Contract (Independent contractor).
- Pay Rate: $125 per hour.
- Work Mode: Fully remote (USA-based candidates required).
- Schedule: Flexible, no minimum hours (typically 5–20 hours/week).
- Duration: Ongoing, project-based work with periodic assignments.
