Create a Real-Time GIS Survey App Without Coding - QField Project

Hello, this is Part 4 of the tutorial series that we have been carrying out on how to develop a mobile GIS data collection application using QField and QGIS. With this video, this is pretty obvious in the real-time database server. You can collect and synchronize data from the field with QField, but what if you need real-time data and want to see it on the database server within seconds? A live connection to databases from the app you are developing makes it possible to collect and synchronize data, hence improving efficiency and accuracy in collecting.

You now have every tool necessary to create your own Real-time GIS Data Collection App: the QField for Android app and the QGIS for Windows server. You can collect and synchronize data in real time, even in remote locations with no internet. Your data will be immediately available on your database server.

This series of tutorials is suitable for GIS professionals, field operators, and surveyors who need to gather data while in the field, as well as for QGIS users interested in doing more with the data collection that goes on with a mobile device. Level up your data gathering in QField from mere digitization to high-quality and overall productive data capturing by using it alongside QGIS.

By the end of this video, you should be able to configure QField to access a live database server, set up your application to collect and synchronize data in real-time, resolve conflict and error issues, and make your application fly. I hope you will be with a real-time GIS data collection app; in fact, I know you will not be able to go back to what you were previously doing to collect your data.
