Key Updates and Enhancements

  1. Enhanced Migration Experience

The new release includes several improvements, which are designed particularly to facilitate migration into the defined utility network. Central to these improvements is the Utility Data Management Support toolbox, which now includes:

  • Create Simple Data Mapping: This tool helps in the definition of the relationship between source and target data by providing a clear Excel template for asset maps.
  • Create Migration Workspace: Creates schema, fields, and attribute domains loading environment automatically consistent with Data Loading in ArcGIS Pro helping to transfer information in an efficient process.
  • Copy Fields and Domains: Reduces the operation of copying attribute values from one FeatureClass/Tables’ field to another and pasting within the utility network environment.
  • Create Utility Network Copy Workbook: Automates the generation of an Excel workbook that maps the asset groups, the asset types, and the network properties required for migration between different models.
  • Apply Utility Network Copy Workbook: This will embed the necessary asset groups and types from the source to the target Asset Package and hence a successful migration of Assets.

These tools as a whole save time and effort that are required to shift to the utility network and enable the organizations to concentrate on data optimization.
